About
Owner, Spencer Gouchie
Founded in 2017 as SWG Carpentry, Lemont Homes Contracting was built from Spencer Gouchie’s background in custom home framing — the structural backbone of residential construction.
Spencer began his career in the Barrie and Simcoe County area framing homes from the ground up, gaining a clear understanding of how a house should be built. That experience continues to shape how Lemont Homes operates today, with a strong focus on structure, sequencing, and doing the work correctly from the start.
Framing sits at the centre of the construction process, connecting the trades that come before and after it. Years in this role gave Spencer a practical understanding of how trades interact, how timelines should be structured, and where problems arise when work isn’t planned properly.
As a result, Lemont Homes takes a hands-on, coordinated approach to renovations and custom projects. Spencer remains actively involved on site—overseeing the work, coordinating trades, and ensuring each phase of construction is completed properly.

Why Choose Us
Hands-On Construction, Not Just Management
We’re actively involved in the work itself; not just overseeing it. Much of the construction is completed in-house, allowing for better quality control and fewer handoffs.
Structured, Well-Planned Projects
We prioritize planning, scheduling, and clear communication so projects move forward in a controlled, organized way. Fewer surprises. Better results.
Client Involvement Without the Stress
Clients stay involved in planning, design choices, and key decisions; without needing to manage trades, timelines, or day-to-day coordination.
Local Knowledge You Can Trust
We live and work in the same communities we build in, and we treat every home with the care and respect we’d expect in our own.
What Working With Us Is Like
We know the scope of renovation and construction projects can feel intimidating, especially when the process is unfamiliar or the decisions feel high-stakes. At Lemont Homes, our goal is to make larger projects feel clear, organized, and as straightforward as possible from the start.
We take the time to explain the scope of work, walk clients through each phase of the project, and set realistic expectations before construction begins. Throughout the build, we stay involved, communicate openly, and help guide decisions so the process doesn’t feel overwhelming.
By removing uncertainty and keeping things well-planned, we aim to help homeowners feel confident moving forward and excited about their renovation or project rather than stressed by it.
